A New Paining? Is that a Freudian slip?

It's a beauty Brett, and a good dose of humour to boot.

Yes Robyn, definitely a Freudian slip ;)

oh I love the background on this. what a great abstract. and I like the watercolor floor and the figure and well, the whole thing. ;)

ps. why not just use the insert image icon above your post. that way you can save uploading it twice. It is between the unlink and video icons.
then just paste in the url of your image. voila. no manage attachments necessary. I think that still works. maybe not. it used to any way.

Thanks Screenpainter.

I don't quite know why I posted to the gallery rather than here. It seemed like a good idea at the time ;) Oh well, it's done now!

I have done that too when I felt like it for some reason, but please not to hide this one in the corner... if you got it... flaunt it and you definitely got it. ;)
and I just accidentally replied to the artrage email... oops. ha ha. haven't done that in awhile. sure I will be getting a notice on that one. ;) Couldn't figure out how my comment wasn't showing up. ha ha. gotta love old age.

I'm afraid I've no idea which pic you're talking about. But crack on, lad! ;)

Why didn't you post it here?

I've no idea why I didn't post it here. I had a brain explosion :p

I'll post it now.

Brilliant! Love the textures. That broken line with the dappled character of the watercolor work perfectly together. The image is very straight forward and easily accessible which gives it a nice instant read. Thematically it has a sort of universal quality. And the implications continue dynamically as it gets associated with many instances that spring to my mind. Nice technique.

Thank you for the comments. It has provoked a lot of them (both here and on another board) and it's very interesting how symbols work. One person has seen what I saw as I was painting, everyone else has brought, of course, their own lives to it. Very satisfying!
