Hey, Fashmir, thanks for sharing the wealth of your experience and abilities, with these oil brushes.
When I couldn't find the brush presets, I realized I had not updated to AR4.01 yet. So after hauling them out of the App Support resources folder into Custom Content, all was well. Of course, had to
play with them for a while first, before I finally upgraded ArtRage. :D

Fashmir, I've installed them, and then checked by attempting to reinstall them and can't find them anywhere.

I've looked through resources... not there. Anyone got any suggestions?

I found them here (see pic) it seems it could still be a bug with the arpacks.

Fashmir, I installed them twice but they are invisible in spite of the fact that AR both times confirms the installation...

Rowena, be sure that you have downloaded the latest version of ArtRage 4, because they recently released an update that patched an error causing the files to install to the wrong area. If you're absolutely sure you've done that, try following along with the video below. I made the video specifically for you and this thread, using Fashmir's presets, so it show you exactly what you need to do. Be sure to watch the video in HD at full screen, if you're having difficulty reading/seeing anything.

SS thanks for rescuing this. I've spent the last few days fighting off a particularly troublesome head cold and haven't spent any time online other than some FB.

I'm hoping everyone has managed to get answers on the installation at this point. If you haven't done the 4.0.1 patch update doing so should solve the problem.

Special thanks to Cripster and SomeoneSane for working with the issue.

I have some tricks about using some of these brushes that I will carve out some time to share soon. For a quick fix on some of my oil technique (in and older version of ArtRage) check here: http://fashmir.blogspot.com/2007/02/art-rage-glazing-101.html

This tutorial dates back to 2006 using ArtRage version 2.x so while the technique can still be accomplished with ease the way to get there has changed. For example there is no longer a plus & minus switch in the layer texture settings, instead you just dial the "roughness" between positive and negative numbers.

Anytime Fashmir . Nice presets, btw. I look forward to trying them out beyond the quick doodling I've managed to fit in thus far.

Fashmir,
I downloaded the link in your first post, but did not find the Everlasting Dry Brush in that new version. Is the link to the wrong brush pack?

Hey Steve B,

My bad. I updated my archive but forgot to update the dropbox file. I fixed it now. Thanks for calling it out.

Thank you Fashmir,
I got these and only had time to check them out by making swatches from each. VERY SWEET!!!!

I wish I had time to make brushes and share but that hasn't happen despite my desire.
I wish I could think of a way to repay all who have given to me through this forum. I keep
wracking the old gray, and some day I hope I will come up w something. Meanwhile, a hearty
thanks to all.
