View Full Version : A western movie II: The bad...

02-17-2013, 08:03 AM
The wild gunman. The wicked enemy of our guy.....
This movie needs some female cast.... anybody is up for it ?

02-17-2013, 08:54 AM
Never tried this style before! Kinda fun.

02-17-2013, 09:23 AM
Fantastic ¡!! , i smell a great love story......

02-17-2013, 09:57 AM
Love them both. Very good.... and fun too! :D

02-17-2013, 11:02 AM
Will Miss Kitty soften the hard guy's heart? I'm staying tuned!

02-17-2013, 11:55 AM
... and then of course there is Miss Charity from the Chapel of the Wayward Sinners. Just to keep an eye things! I think she may have some Mayan heritage, but of course, no-one talks about that. And who knows, maybe secretly in love with our handsome bad guy!

02-17-2013, 12:51 PM
Sherriff Truegrit was going to have his work cut out keeping the peace in town. (I used a reference pic to adapt.) tapirmalaryo, what have you started? This is such fun!

@ tapirmalayo: Comparing this with the others that you did for this series, I will offer a suggestion. An important thing to keep in mind is be sure to use variety among your characters to make sure they look different from one another -- certainly with the main characters.

Maybe think in terms of fat, skinny, tall, short, crooked, distinctive clothing and weapons etc. And if you're basing your characters on a primitive shape like a cylinder, consider also for other characters a circle or square or triangle - just as examples of how to consider changes if you want.

They're still looking good and clever. Keep that quality! Go man go!!!!!!!

02-17-2013, 03:24 PM
Wow, love it.

02-17-2013, 11:35 PM
Great paintings, well done:)

02-18-2013, 09:52 AM
Never keeps his eyes off Kitty, funny and talker, but.... distrust, hides his gun under the bar.....

02-18-2013, 10:07 AM
I love the intense look in his eyes. Miss Kitty seems to have captured his interest.

02-18-2013, 09:57 PM
A western character epopee here! Great!

02-19-2013, 01:23 AM
Love the style of these characters....:)

02-19-2013, 08:49 AM
Cattle baron, owner of the largest ranch of the territory...and the Sheriff Truegrid too...

02-19-2013, 09:21 AM
Well, lookee here who just come in the bar. "Brute" Sanders! And he ain't one bit happy. He's been hearing round town that damn Yankee colonel been claimin' he has the biggest cattle ranch in The Territory. "But everybody knows the BarBQ is the biggest. Ain't that so so boys?" "Yes sir, Mr Brute sir. Quite right." But behind his back everyone is snickering at Brute Sanders because he has a worthless no-good brother in Kentucky who is ranching chickens. Chickens!!

02-19-2013, 09:52 AM
Foresee a long, long rivalry between the chickens of Mr.Sanders and Mr.Mcdonalds's cows.......

02-19-2013, 10:01 AM
It's going to be ugly ... and I didn't know the Old Colonel's name was MacDonald. Old MacDonald had a ranch ... yehaa, yehaa, yo!

It's going to be ugly ... and I didn't know the Old Colonel's name was MacDonald. Old MacDonald had a ranch ... yehaa, yehaa, yo!

The Colonel is Sanders (pre KFC when it was Kentucky Fried Chicken). MacDonald married into the MacNuggets clan. They had a farm, but lost it in a range war with Westinghouse. . .

I'm so confused. . . and a little hungry. . .

02-19-2013, 10:43 AM
@ tapimalayo: very cool! Love the colonel especially, but they are both great.

Love the other characters wandering into your old frontier town.

02-19-2013, 10:47 AM
Great characters. Funny stuff! :D :D :D

02-19-2013, 10:50 AM
Yeeeee Haaaaah and kai yi yippie kai yay!!! Being rurally
borned, I growed up in these parts with this rootin' tootin'
lot. Some are lovable, some might be kin but don't turn
your britches on Brute" Sanders. Once he swills down the
ol' XXX Red Eye, he'll pick your pocket, steal your horse
then ride him 'till his hindquarters fall off! ;)

Great characters, super artwork and much Buckaroo fun! :D

02-21-2013, 02:29 AM
His angry face is going to change... troubles in town means good bussines.......

02-21-2013, 09:03 AM
This is the town doctor Les Miserables (an embittered Frenchman since his novel "Victor Hugo" was rejected by 43 publishers). He too is looking forward to the showdown at the Alright Coraal and the extra business. I think Les and the undertaker may have an "arrangement."

02-21-2013, 10:11 AM
his endearing old friend....

02-21-2013, 10:31 AM
What a skilful hand that created this drawings ...so expressive, almost magical.

02-21-2013, 11:59 AM
Ah, mes amis, there is a story to be told here.

02-21-2013, 12:55 PM
Not sure why is this showing two images. C'est la vie! (Fixed it!)

Thanks everyone for your comments. This is fun!

Thank-you very much tapirmalayo for starting this thread. I have learned a lot! And your drawings are amazing!

02-22-2013, 02:19 AM
Thankyou everyone for your coments.
Any landscape is so diferent from mine than the old West of America, but in my dreams of chilhood , on these saturday evenigns sesions on the cinema or tv old these characters are so deeply specials. And all these posts are a loving tribute to them.

02-22-2013, 02:28 AM
Had a good time watching this old wild west movie , thanks :)

02-22-2013, 09:59 AM
The young lieutenant just arrived from West Point, target of the jokes of the soldiery of Fort Malayo....

02-22-2013, 12:25 PM
Ah, such a tenderfoot! Love all the characters! Did officers wear those caps? I thought they wore regular brimmed hats. Great fun! L

02-22-2013, 11:25 PM
I love Your drawings!
I also felt the need to try simulating Your style, but I couldn't get neat lines out of my cheap tablet (or maybe I should re-install it). Here it is.
BTW, the blaugranas seem to have crashed against the rossoneri so far ... I support Juventus (which won in Glasgow 3-0), but I must say I was quite impressed by Milan organization and players able to taking an alien dreamteam down on the ground from their flying saucer. LOL:D

02-24-2013, 06:19 AM
Very funny character, Ceaser , great work.
About the lines tool i use the inking pen with 50% taper lengh and 20% smoothing aprox. with some variations ,
allways on the upper layer.

BTW it's very difficult play againt 11 players on the back line (i asume in Barcelona they will be 33).But this team is so , so great , i'm sure
in Barcelona they will turn round !!!!

02-24-2013, 06:26 AM
And old Buffulo's hunter , now guide of the wagon train on his far west way......

02-24-2013, 12:20 PM
These are such fun to look at, and read. :D:D:D

02-25-2013, 07:14 AM
came down from the mountains.....

02-25-2013, 07:54 AM
Damn nice work....:)

Mairzie Dotes
02-25-2013, 01:10 PM
Could Mr. Hunter Trapper have come down from the mountain
to stock up on supplies and clean underwear? ;) Excellent
artwork! :D

02-25-2013, 11:45 PM
Thank You for the tip, dear mate.
I can understand a certain disappointment You felt, but on the match I think You should have read also the French, English and German newspapers thereabout.
Even if I admire very much Barcellona, actually Milan had quite a few scoring opportunities while Barça practically none. I rather saw a team with a superior defence and an effective middlfield and attack against a certainly impressive superteam finding no corridor as it always succeeded to do this far (Celtic apart). With soccer, like with judo, You may always count on tactics and intelligence rather than force in several cases and mobility, fast and precise striking capability may show better than ball possession or even overall technical superiority and value of the stars (certainly no team may match Barcellona for that). It's not a case that Messi scored only three times against Italian teams in the last eight years (two were penalties) and that our nation team won four world cups and reached two more finals with far less popularity (and help) than the mythical Brazialin team with just one title more.
Anyway, my best wishes to the Barça and whoever eventually wins it may be considered a challenge which would have deserved to be a final for sure!

02-26-2013, 02:09 AM
Cease, sincerely, i thing you are right, but wait to the match in Barcelona , Milan can't play such
a match twice. we talk on march 13.

And Mairzie , you are right, but not exactly, his underpants can't any more, came alive and came down two days ago......

A very emotional reunionin the laundry......

02-26-2013, 02:42 AM
Ah, ah, :o;) I wouldn't care excessively anyway, apart from appreciating a wonderful match hopefully, since I support Juventus and it's very unlikely we would be sent off after we won 3-0 at Glasgow against the Celtic.
BTW, I used Your ink pen setting for very quickly sketching with the mouse a caricature of Alfred Hitchcock adopting a style vaguely similar to Your one. I'll make a better attempt on another celebrity in the future.

02-26-2013, 09:07 AM
I have tried many times to draw caricatures , but never with succes. This is reason i only draw anonymous characters.
Your Hitchcock is great !!

02-26-2013, 09:10 AM
just arrived to Dawson City, looking for the big nugget......

02-26-2013, 04:18 PM
I couldn't resist one more.

This is Miss Letitia Doolittle in on the stage from San Francisco. She followed Uncle Reuben the gold digger just to represent the family and make sure that if Uncle Reuben does find that big nugget, the family gets it's share.

02-27-2013, 08:14 AM
a cardsharp came after the oncle Reuben's gold and Miss Letitia's heart as well.......

02-27-2013, 08:37 AM
This thread is getting really crowded! Seriously, they are so good and a lot of fun.

02-27-2013, 01:43 PM
Uh oh!

02-27-2013, 08:35 PM
The rest of the story may be found in the After 9 Section I guess ... LOL:o:D

02-27-2013, 08:45 PM
ROTFL ... great Caesar ... I'll see what I can do ... then again ... ;);)

02-28-2013, 08:47 AM
This is another member of the gang, his face says everything.

03-23-2013, 10:44 AM

03-26-2013, 02:33 AM
Good to see further development here! I like to attend this thread very much, although one nice lady each now and then would certainly benefit the story "attractiveness"... LOL:o

03-26-2013, 03:16 AM

04-03-2013, 10:16 PM
Hey, Tapirmalayo, You draw magnificently Your characters, but it looks like You rely on other mates to provide the girls in Your stories ... LOL;)
Actually I was wondering whether You defined Your fascinating style also for views different than the frontal faces psoture Your characters show here.
