A Change from doing pirates,Thought I would have a go at a famous(Or perhaps Infamous) King ,I hope you can see who it is from my painting. I used a reference picture to guide my effort, and I have made very slight changes to make him look a little more realistic, you may be able to spot the differences if you have seen the original by Holbein, the original artist,I looked at as many paintings as I could find,to get a good impression of what this King looked like, didnt rely totally on the reference painting, and this is NOT a paint over, hope you like the result.....Jack.

Gee that looks a lot like Henry VIII. Could it be? Jack.....it is hard to tell from the original painting of him by Holbein. Well done my friend.....well done!

Um was he a pirate too? LOL

He was such an insincere, self serving pillock, wasn't he? Excellent painting and very realistic! :D

A great painting and likeness of a self centred man :)

You have captured the striking image of a possible young Henry VIII
in all of his royal (and unpleasant) personna. He tended to have his
wives beheaded when they would not produce a male heir.

A most elegant portrait showing his better side! :D
