This is another watercolor I have been working on. I work in layers and try the various brush tools.
It's nice to change brushes as the need arises. Sometimes going back over certain areas with a different brush gives better detain. Still learning for an old timmer.

love the style so far. perhaps if you want to work on this piece more you might want to consider pushing your values.

Looks really good.

Try putting in a texture layer. It can give some really interesting effects.

Great job! Love the low key color and value scheme! If you don't mind a little suggestion, I'd darken the tone on the bow of the featured boat and its reflection. I think this might add a little balance to the composition. Try it on a layer and see if you like it. Again, really nice watercolor!

Thank you all for your fine suggestions. I will try to improve with application of these in my next project.
Where do I get the texture for the layers that was suggested? I would love to try it.

awesome work. love the color combination you used in this pic. you did a great work with water color. the effect used to show water is also so good.

that is just plain serene--nothing is more calming then a watercolor well done.
