This my first beach type painting. I think I got the sky better than before.
71635and his is my first shot at a wave. Yes, I should have incorporated into the beach part but I didn't know how. Have I graduated from a turnip to an artichoke? I'm hoping tat I' getting better.

That has worked out very well, just a tip when painting a sky with blue in it , the blue should be a little more diluted down at the horizon and a little deeper the higher you go.
Nice effect of the grass in the foreground .
Keep it up.

The sky was supposed to be lighter toward the horizon, I got carried away because I was having fun.

It's very frustrating though. I've always been a country boy, (an old one now days) and I'm very aware of the difference in trees, the way branches are shaped etc, the textures of bark, the way cattails look and grow, but getting it captured on paper is another story. However I enjoy this and I personally feel that I'm getting better. With help from folks here I hope to become proficient. I wish I would have had some real art training.
