Having unloaded the contraband under cover of darkness,the pirate ship sneaks out of the estuary close to the cliffs so they can escape detection from the fort high above them, they recieve guidance from the accomplice lanternman,who makes sure that no other ships are coming in from the open sea..All clear the lantern stays steady,if another ship approaches then the lantern swings...........Hope you like the picture....Jack.

Well Jack i just love a painting with a story and of course done to your wonderful high standard as always.
Your use of light and shade is just fantastic.

A big thank you to all who replied here,I dont answer toooo many times because of pushing my pictures back to the start again,I feel people dont want to see pictures more than once,especially when they have already replied,might be wrong there but erring on the safe side....thanks again...Jack.
