Thank you for commenting. After I looked at the post, I saw what was missing - the thing to anchor it to the time...

Certainly A reality painting and really well done, seen from an interesting angle.
Well done.

Even better. You're very clever.

Seems a painting for the times, however much we wish otherwise.
The broken ornament is a sad but terrific touch.
Well done.

Skylar.. your works always tug on our hearts and portray fond memories as well as tragic consequences.. very well done. I like the addition of the broken ornament.

An absolutely touching and artful painting indeed! Maybe better than money we should rather provide him with a pair of comfortable and warm shoes ...:)

Zero, Cope, Limey, Byron, Semd, GXH, Caesar - thank you for the great feed-back. I really appreciate it.
I relate to this conceptual image. When I was 17, I spent several days sleeping in an all-night laundromat's bathroom.
Socially conscious imagery is quite important to me, if only as a reminder.

Very emotional artwork, just a different look at a common worldwide problem of poverty: exposed. Bravo!

Tony - I'm glad you like this one. When I happen onto an idea that seems to really resonate with me, personally, I hope it will do the same with others.

GRS - This image still has an effect on me. I distilled my own angst into it.

I spend a lot of time and energy painting images I want people to like, or love. This isn't one of those. in my heart, I really want to make visual comments that say something. I want to make a difference.

Skylar, such a sad painting with so much meaning, the broken ornament and the broken man side by side, so well presented
