Here's a quickie done with the oil brush. I did this one with a mouse.
I took a circle stencil and reversed it out to paint the planet. Then inverted it again to do the planet atmosphere,
There must be an easier way to do a circular glow effect. It's not easy doing airbrush with a mouse.
But for a speed paint, i'm a happy camper.

A quite solid and inhabited nebula! I like this gorgeous view and palette.

Nice job! The colors just jump. One thing you might want to try to get the atmoshere glow is to layer the elements in the painting and on the bottom layer use the eraser tool at very low pressure with the soft setting and follow the curve of the circle. Or, on the bottom layer, put some lighter coloring under the circle and use the instant blur to fade the edges around the circle. Experiment and see what may work for you to achieve the look you are seeking. :)
