I call this "open window" I am trying to capture the feel of the classics not quite there but I'm working on it.

It's terrific lighting John! So essential for each painting, but still something that nearly blows my mind when done on the level like this.
Well, your working on it and it's damn good work.

I have to second Byron. Very much a color sketch from a seventeenth-century Dutch master. The light tells the story. :D

Don't worry, classical is a quite wide-spanning term today and You carried out a fantastic light exploration in this sketch.
