Thank you very much for the comments. I did another version of it added some more color. Don't know if it made it any better?

Another exquisite illustration in two versions! Marvellous style, composition and a perfectly limited palette.

I like the addition of the color. It livens it up, feels like dawn to me, which of course would change the mood. It's warmer. More optimistic. The fox's perch gives an overview to it that encourages. He feels more like a Jonathan Livingston Seagull kind of character now.

These are great illustrations, really enjoyed viewing them

I guess I have to be different, I prefer the first one as you have drawn his coat sticking out from his body like many animals do when the weather is really cold.
The addition of colour does make a different scene and certainly warms things up, but then the fox should not look as frigid.:)

Thank you all very much;) The limited pallet colder version of this made the main headline over at Hire an Illustrator so that's awesome;) http://www.hireanillustrator.com/i/ Thanks so much for the feedback.

Nice style there. I confess I too prefer the first one. For me it has more of a mood to it. The one with added color is nice but for me there is more of a confusion of light happening that the first one doesn't have.

Hey, congrats on the lead pic at that site. Well done you! Definitely more moody which would suit the season well. Bravo!
