My version of a English singer I used to like in the mid sixties, I guess to many of you folks of my age I do not have to say her name she was associated with Mick Jagger

Thanks Pat, I saw a tv program recently that she was in and that brought back memories for me.

Beautiful painting. I remember her, I was stationed in Northern England in the mid 60's. Loved the music.

You were Faithful to Maryann, Mister G.

I would watch the eyes though. Great lips and all the rest. The eye on her left looks like it got a little away from you in this one. You haven't had that problem before, so I guess it was trying to get it 'just so'.

Anyway, splendid job.

A very lovely portrait Geoff:D.
Like Pat says, the canvas is OK.
The choice of the right canvas is always a problem for me, especially in portraits:o

Thanks jibes for your comments always a pleasure to hear from you
Mr D Akey I see what you mean about the eye I think I went a little overboard, my ref image was a small photo which I used to get some kind of perspective on elements in the face to help with likeness. Your comments are always so valuable.

Silvy glad you liked it, my problem with canvas textures is because this is a much larger painting than what is shown here on the forum, and what looks great larger does not always follow when reduced down in size.
