The rider had sat motionless on his horse for an hour or more. The stand of pines located to his right, and a third of the way down the hillside, had been his choice as the best place to stop.

We may wonder whether he's either Sean or Dover, but You certainly interpreted pretty well BB's epopee!

Thanks for the wonderful responses! I have wanted to do this for some time. BB's stories conjure lots of images in my head, but since he does his own imagery, I didn't want him to think I was infringing.

Perhaps it would be a fun "Challenge" for all to do one from a favorite passage...

Skylar, trust me, I would never think of it as "infringing". I would, and do, think of it as an honor, for you and anybody else, to post something like this in regards to something that I've done. I very much appreciate it. :) :) :) :) :)

Kenmo, Sabena - Thanks so much!!
Barney - Several times, I had thought of asking if would be OK to do illustrations from your stories. I'm glad you are pleased with my effort.

A lovely work Skylar:). I never read barnburner's story because I have little time and it's trouble to me translate all.
But your painting feels me in tune with the story. Thank you so much;)

Skylar - No need to ask. Anytime you want to do so - please do. I would be honored.
