Imagination flies faster than speed of life...would surely like to pick up the techniques that render such imagery.

Hi Ruby, thank you-please join in. I love to use the masking tools for the planets, and knife for different effects.:)

I am not sure if this qualifies but Hey space is the place and science fiction is the unknown reality of it.
Here is a sample of my views of it. Hope you enjoy it. A quicky for sure.

I couldn't resist posting even though it's an old one. I haven't had much time for my own doodles this past week.

Wow all!! Love all these, so clever and creative!

Here's mine. Could be a base station with the cosmos above. I'm a little lonely but loving it in this scene:

Here's the original photo of mine I used to mess around in & create the above via painting, palette knife and various sticker spray:

Wonderful and exciting stuff all around!

Steve, great use of cropping to be using the graphic novelist's (comic book artist's) visual vocabulary.

Notice how now that so many movies have sprung from comic books, that cinematographers are employing a lot of those extreme camera angles, thus expanding that story telling visual language.

Nice experiment. Very successful.

Yeah, great stuff Steve. I watched the Theatrical Cut and the Workprint versions of Blade Runner last week and over the weekend so it's always great to see your pictures. I think your paintings and the film are intertwined in my head now :)

For my art calendar this year I wanted to do something for September that referenced the 50 year anniversary of an iconic Science Fiction TV Show. The foreground was done with the knife. The ship a photo I took of a tiny model then traced into Art Rage. By the way all 12 months of this years calendar used Art Rage works of art.

Man that retro "Rocket Rick" brings back memories of illustrations in old pulp fiction I read in my "formative years" Kudos! Very creative capture of the old pulp fiction Si-Fi Magazine and 50cent book covers! "Danger Will Robinson", etc.!
