I really like this one Pat, love how you have done her flowing robes, just one question " did she jump" ? :)

Very nice color and value study, Pat. It's as if you have pulled out various pieces of music from your piano bench and are having a go, working it to mastery. I also like the drama and romance of this one. A proper paperback novel cover. I feel the sense of longing, of worry, of coldness, and her pure heart helping her to navigate the challenges. . .

Could romance novel readers be considered heroine addicts? ;) But I digress. . .

Whites can be managed with a little more chroma. Not sure of your source pic, but white is great because it fairly cleanly can reflect the environmental colors. It can get tricky to keep it looking white while keeping the saturation up. But it's a good early go. The rest has nice colors. Well done, and much learned no doubt. Go Pat!

Beautiful work Pat. I suspect she has gone to the edge of the barren cliffs in an effort to get a signal on her cell phone. :D :) :)

Wow...love this painting. I'm sure it has a story to tell... but is it drama, a tale of sadness or a ghost story...

hi pat, I'm afraid of heights:) ... but the great thing about art is that she never will fall, she's poised like the lovers on Keats's Grecian urn,

Bold Lover, never, never canst thou kiss,
Though winning near the goal—yet, do not grieve;
She cannot fade, though thou hast not thy bliss,
For ever wilt thou love, and she be fair!

... and we can imagine her floating away on that billowy white dress ...
