I think I've sat in that chair before. Very well done.

The texture of the chair is amazing!
I seem to be touching the leather!

La textura del sillón es asombrosa!
Me parece estar tocando el cuero!

The seat cushion looks so real I could sit on it. Very good.

I think I remember you having done a chair a couple years ago. This is really nice. I love the idea which is also whimsical, using the Magritte painting to echo the idea about the painting not being the actual object. I also love the idea of the pipe being associated with a leather chair. They do seem to go together, don't they. It's been 16 years since I quit smoking (just realized that yesterday), but were I still smoking, I would be drawn into having a sit.

The only mechanical thing I would comment on is that the perspective of the chair is a little off. Everything else is working, so it's a minor criticism that is worth considering for future pictures. Because the angle of the chair is somewhat 3/4, the right side of the chair would be a little smaller than it now is. Again, it's a small calculation about vanishing points.

But this painting is really good on all the other levels. And owing to the surreal reference, one could merely say the distortion was deliberate for effect. Very good work! A huge leap ahead. :):):)

Nicely done, i also have sat in that chair my Granddad had one just like it and he also smoked a pipe.
They say smell brings back memories and typing this I can smell his pipe.

Fantastic painting and idea!
If You just add a writing on it saying: "This is not a leather armchair" (... and a pipe painting" if you wish), You would get a meta-Magritte surrealistic painting re-inforcing and citing the logical paradox of the original painting and sentence "Ceci n'est pas une pipe".

Ohhhhhh that looks so comfy Steve and I really like the idea of the pipe in the painting bringing it altogether:)
