I have a soft spot for old ships. Guess I like the freedom of the sea. I'm amazed by the power of this program and just using my mouse.

You're getting better and better with AR. I think we'll soon get stunned by Your forthcoming works when You'll finally get Your ordered tablet.

Very nicely done. Always glad to see paintings from someone that uses the mouse. That way I don't feel like a complete oddball. :) :) :)

Nice double meaning. Could be a storm for the sailors, could be a storm they're bringing with them.

The technique is very modern, quick like a sound byte, for this centuries old subject. Interesting choice. I don't experience the sailing experience from this - not sensual like the smells or sounds. I experience the notion of an early ship in a mental idea of it because you have chosen to not include the senses as much. Same with your guitar drawing. It's suggestive of the idea of a guitar played by someone who plays from a musical idea, vs having done a portrait of an old beat up guitar leaning against a shackled leg with a striped convict's uniform.

It's like what happens with cartoons - if you do a very detailed caricature like Hanzz does, you are tightening the focus onto a specific person. If it's stick figures, it is more universal. There's a place for each, and one can choose what they want to say and use those ideas as part of that voice.

This painting of the ship, especially with that wonderful title suggest a line of historical facts that extend well beyond the ship's gunwales.

Nice.

A really striking painting, when you get your tablet you will think you will find such a difference.
