Used some internet pictures to inspire me but really painted them quite freely. Hope to have them look like real canvas paintings.

Very nice.

A suggestion might be to be a little more brushy and flamboyant with your strokes and colors in the background, thus making your fruit look more finished while maintaining some painterliness still.

Own the whole picture, even if subject-wise there's not much going on. There is so long as you have a brush in hand. And the groovy thing about a sort of nothing background is that you can go wild and it doesn't have to represent much of anything so you have license there as opposed to fruit that ordinarily should look like fruit.

Vary your marks in complimentary and interesting ways throughout. You can also pop in a bit of disembodied color that works to the advancement of the picture.

But this is quite nice in what you did pay attention to.
