Here is another of the Newsprint scanned and enhanced series. This image just evolved out of the graphite, I have no idea what or where this is.
I include the "as scanned" image for ref.

I great artpiece! I noticed You are using very well and proficiency the old good grisaille method in Your approach.

And just when I was ready to call in the Barbershop Quartet from the title, I see this is more ghostlike, a little more like a gauntlet run, more a Cajun Stephen King. Brace yourself lads, I have a queer feeling about this place. . .


But that's probably because I was just looking at some video games. Probably the sketchy wobbly lines atmospheric color faded from the buildings quality and overall darkness of the style.

Neal..another nice work.. sketching then scanning and doing post work in AR seems to really work for you.. makes me want to get my scanner hooked up again.:):)

It is a goofy title and perhaps off-putting to some as it does like D Akey says "the Barbershop Quartet" is conjured up :)
I, like 80+ learned something, what grisaille means. However I didn't set out to do that.
Not a charcoal but rather 6B graphite Pencil. For this the sketch is like looking for images in the clouds, once you see them you just bring them out.
Indee, Gary just dust off the old scanner!
