I'm afraid dear eighty, it's too late. Elijah is lurkin' in this thread... I'll try to convince him, you are St' Nicholas.
It should work, I think...:cool::p Thank you mate :)

Yea Sandy, our opinions about him are quite coincident. Thank you very much.

Thank you Albert for your much appreciated comment.

Thanks barnburner I tried my best, to get him as he looks...

A most marvellous portrait also considering that kids are hard to fix in a spontaneous pose and they're also quite difficult to paint in all their delicate features and proportions .... even Your model was not going to be taken directly to Heaven by angels (not while You was painting at least and, wishfully, before a long life), as it happened instead to the Oldest One. Very well painted.

Yes Caesar to paint the prophet in his early years, you need love and faith, first of all...:)

Thank you coops for your valuable comment, much appreciated.

Thanks Silvia, yes this young gentleman is the most natural character, I know.

jibes Children are natural and spontaneous. I think, to be a bit like a child, really help to paint them.

Thank you Weeks, it's great to hear, you like him.

Thank you Geoff, I know I couldn't deceive your photographer's perception.

Saphire, I'm happy you loved his portrait. :)

Very nice pic. Got a lot of attitude. The head and the garment/drink are handled a little differently, owing most prominently to the saturation of the colors, but it still reads well. I'm sure everyone should love it. A lot of heart showing in this one. Well done. :):):)

I used to know your comments for their depth D Akey. These few words make a true art analysis IMO.
Your comment made me also thinking about another topic discussed elsewhere on the forums. We have all the sort of digital tools in our software, but nothing like digital heart. The traditional folks cannot find their counterpart in the art store either. This is something, that makes us more equal than different.

an excellent painting and totally adorable and innocent look.. the play of bright colors on him and the more neutrals really make the image take form... excellent work.
