Hi Gx I've read the signs the indians are saying keep out :confused::confused::cool::cool::cool:

Gary, I see I should have chosen to live in southern Oregon, where the sun does actually shine, hehe ... What about that vertical fish symbol just to the left of the central dark patch? ... Was that intentional? ...

And thanks, eighty+, my "Indian" is a little rusty these days :)

Really nice Gary, great use of colour.

Hi GX,

Those colors warmed me up.

DennyCayman glad you like these warm toasty tones..:D

Geoff, thanks for checking in !... I appreciate the comments :D

Pete, yes the sun has been out a lot lately, and yes the fish symbol is very intentional as is the lightning bolts, windows, etc. On occasion seem to be drawn to pictograph type paintings where I use symbols as a kind of visual shorthand. as eighty+ so cleverly noted...

eighty+ thanks mate for reading so accurately this sign... others here seem to have lost the skill of reading sign...:cool:

jonwood, Pat, shadowslake, and Jean thanks you all for stopping by and commenting.. Jean I am thrilled you like the colors so much. I was actually inspired by a recent work by screenpainter called Realms that was all done in oranges, and whites.. I appreciated the impact that a single dominant color has on a composition and decided to try it out. I love warm yellows and sienna colors...reminds me of wheat fields in late summer.:D

It's just that ... there's a famous painting by Paul Klee called (in English) "Around the Fish" ... and I wondered if you were directly alluding to it ...

chinapete, not directly no but having studied Klee's work in the past i always loved his symbolism and it is a definite influence:)

This great... not sure if it's taking me to Mexico or Australia but I'm enjoying the trip.

This is one of Your painting I like the most and find more interesting. I think I could write a chapter on it, but the fundamental truth is that I love how You declined this yello symphony, how concrete Your textures and volumes are here and how enjoyably clear and rationale is Your composition.

This is really some beautiful visual language. If it were a musical piece I cannot hear one note out of tune. That is rather a spectacular accomplishment in abstracts. Just beautiful. I think it also really shows a refinement to your work in the evolution process as we have witnessed the growth of an abstract expressionist. I see a real refinement in your techniques and use of color. bravo. I also am impressed with the zen like quality in this one having recently watched a Japanese documentary on art I can all the more appreciate. An amazing piece!

Exquisite! Like an abstractionist's gems set into gold. a bit slow getting my responses back...thanks D Akey

Delicious! and non fattening!.

Beautifully done Gary. :) :) :) thanks Mike

Is there something Mexican about this one? a lot of my work seems to have a native american or mezo-american color and symbology..not sure how that happened but it has always been there and occasionally pops out...:cool:
