a little piece of art with just some simple strokes,a few lines at the right place and the shadows do the rest with the color,very expressive!.

Wonderful image, Ms Coops. As mentioned by Shadowslake, simple is sometimes the best choice. It's always nice to see just how little we need to do to capture the elusive "it" we strive for. . . if we're that articulate and to the point.

This one is very simple, but it says it. I really like the sort of spongy flesh tone that emanates from those areas. And I like how you contained it with some well placed containment lines like the glass in Pheasant Under Glass. (I mean the food dish, even though that sounds like a trashy book title. . . if it were 'peasant').

Reminds me of the old first half of the century magazine cover illustrations.

Very well edited.
