Having watch the film Avatar twice in a week, (2 different TV channels showed it) I thought I would do another take on this wonderful film. I just love the colour and the scenery in it. Hope you enjoy this one:)

That is gorgeous! I love the color, light and movement. Your artistic growth has been such a pleasure to witness. I haven't always posted but I do look in once in a while. Keep painting. :)

Hi Coops, forgive me if this reminds me of another film also, Finding Neverland, there's a great scene when Peter Pan and Wendy observe a fairy dance, have you painted that? ...

I wasn't able to watch Avatar in 3-D, were you? this does give the effect of a 3-D rendering ...

Easily up there with your very best: delicious palette and a dreamlike quality, both of which are reminiscent of Pai, to my eye.

04-08-2012, 08:59 PM
So nice to see you Robert and I hope all is well with you. I am flatter about your comment re PAI, she was such a great artrist and a shining light spirit who is missed. Happy you liked my painting too:)

Very Springy, Ms Coops! I love your previous avatar as well. You sure when this is reduced down to the smaller size of your avatar that it will read alright?

Alright. . .alright. . . only being silly. It's a nice interpretation on the elongated shapes and the naturalness of the blue race. You pay homage to a very fine movie.

Too bad that butterfly isn't more dragon-sized.

Very cool.

Ohhhhhh dear Mr Akey very amusing but then you always are. So happy you enjoyed this one and blimey wish I had thought of the dragon or maybe making the butterfly big enough for her to fly with. Hmmmmm maybe next time eh what!!! Thanks again for your kind comments:)
