View Full Version : Rome at Caravaggio's times

Here's a link to see, in the lowest pasrt of the page, a gallery of an exhibition now going on in Roma, Palazzo Venezia, should anyone be interested to it.

It's incredible to think that the masterpieces herebelow were painted in a timeframe as short as 1600-1630 by so many great masters (and such a timeframe is but a piece of the plurisecular Italian art puzzle).
If You put the cursor on each thumbnail You get the author and title (in Italian) and You may probably find also a better picture of that painting somewhere else rather than to open the thumbnail quite often getting an image which is by far less luminous and colorful than the real painting.

Hope You may like this experience and find it somehow inspiring.
