The phantoms of the Opera ballet! They rather look much more modern dance, both as gestures and as painting style. A masterpiece!

Fantastic Katie, love this!

Beautiful! The "squares" texture really compliments and adds interest to the flowing movement of dance.

Unprintably incredible. I'm afraid that when I opened this one, the impact dragged up an expletive from my misspent youth. Very Impressive! :o

The movement seems really stuck by frost but, at the same time, it's get to start again.

A couple jitterbugs caught in amber, Ms Coops?

Dare I say way cool! I wonder when the poles shift this time that some wandering tribesmen on the new tundra would come upon this as the glacier sheds a wall and reveals this. Heck, if it flipped that quick for the mastadons, why not, eh? I can see them with their little spears trying to make out what the heck these crazy folk were ritualizing.

Anyway, all dopeyness aside (for only a moment as I can scarcely hold it back), this is a surprising contrast between movement and stasis. It's a curious moment, not unlike running with the notion of ballet dancers moving from held pose to held pose to held pose.

This painting just amazing! ---Everything about it! I just wish I had a fraction of the energy they have.
