I was not active in the forums for awhile, so I have several paintings to share...I hope you enjoy them...

I did this one several months ago. It reminds me of the hillsides around where we live. This was my first ArtRage watercolor painting.

(Comments and critiques always welcome!

This was just an experiment with the tube and palette knife. It was so much fun. I felt like I was a kid again smearing the fingerpaint around.

I did this one yesterday. ArtRage oils, roller and stickers.

I had always been attracted to portraits done with a palette knife, so I decided to try out the loaded palette knife feature. Since I had no experience selecting colors for a portrait, I used the automatic color selection.

Experimenting with ArtRage is so much fun!

This painting was inspired by a recording that I use for meditation. The circular patterns at the bottom represent the reverberating bass tones. The wavy lines in the middle represent a flowing melody. The firework-like patterns are unexpected garnishments of metallic sounds. I chose a foil background to represent the electronic nature of the music. The black is the void of space

I exercised a bit of artistic license and omitted some of the wrinkles. ;)

love to see you sharing your work. the hillsides look beautiful there. a lot of wonderful work to share and so good to get to see it in this thread. my favorite, though, is the self portrait... wrinkles would be fine too. :)

Thank you, everyone for looking. I appreciate your generous comments, especially when you say which ones are your favorites. Doing these paintings has been a real learning experience. Since I have no formal art training , I work on educating myself a little at a time. I am still at the experimenting stage, so your opinions help me know what I am doing best, and where I need to put more effort.

Thanks again for your comments!
