Wasnt sure whether to post this one or not, but decided I liked the texture effect that was stumbled apon. I am hoping that one day I might finally use the results of some of these experiments to attempt something a bit more serious. Progress can be a slow thing lol
(Press F11 in Firefox to see a full screen after choosing max painting size. I was surprised what this does!)

iceaxe... nice textures like the thick quality and heavy roughness... also a nice trick with f11 to go full screen the details really pop out... these little trips into exploration will pay off ...:)

An updated version of the same file. This one is equally ugly  but shows some interesting paint loading capabilities... Thanks Frisch, coops, screenpainter and gxhpainter for stopping by

Cool! Some super textures and designs. I like the 2nd one the best but the first is cool too!

just amazing what artrage is capable of isn't it? this one really approaches the third dimension and looks like soft sculpture... fascinating piece.

Thankyou EightyMan I think the bear might have eaten something that didnt agree with him, and sometime later on the remains in his stomach exploded!
Thank you jibes Yes, AR is the most outrageous :D
Thank you Screenpainter, your comments re the third dimension would ennoble the courageous :)

Definitely the last this time, again the original file is reworked
98 % is in Artrage, last portion a colour adjustment in Xara

Interesting outcomes reminding me of some past experiments along this line. As Orianelima taught us too, ArtRage may offer quite a considerable number of possibilities also considering the set of textures and effects You may get with the most simple combinations!

Hello EightyMan, ;) You have me scratching my head this time. Perhaps you might offer me a clue to help solve your brain teaser!
