You took us far back in time too, dear Pat! Quite hard to see such a gentle scene on these days. Very good one.
Obviously my distorted mind thought to another illustration with the same title. Wednesday Addams sewing corpese pieces into a Frankenstein living doll! :D

Thankyou all for your kind comments, they are so appreciated as always:)
Eighty, the weather was warm for this time of year in Canada, so we hit it lucky, we go back there about every 3-4 months as my mother-in-law is 93 and still lives on her own, she is very stubborn:D:D:Dborn in England (Bristol) so she wont move in with us or her daughter which is 30 miles away from her, she wont have anyone help her with housework either, so we go back to help as much as she lets us, this last time we were there for a month

hi Pat thanks sorry I'm so late keep dozing off had a late night :D
sounds like mum is a C.W.bride congrats to her , like her can remember
when the south of England was home to thousands of young Canadien's
had just started going to the ice rink as dad had been given a years free
pass from a local shopkeeper who children were grown up so was over the
moon, and as u can imagine the rink was packed so if u fell over on the
corner's u were like a drowned rat and I was always falling ,ok later when
the ankels strenghtion had a great ice hockey team Brighton tiger's sadly
lost half the team at Dieppe, always surprised that Brighton&Hove City
hasn't got a plauge about the fact that the Canadiens shared our live's for
a short time . give my regards to your Mum tell her the 1st 70 years in
a strange country is hard :D that will put a smile on her face SLAINTE E+
