This was taken from a magazine photo that I thought was a perfect subject for Artrage just after I got the program. I worked in oil in layers.
I added the gulls for an added touch. Hope you like it.

ted..very well done... I like the smooth glassy water and rich colors... has a very painterly feel to it with excellent brush work evident ..:)

Thank you for your attention and comments. I do enjoy your work but have little time to comment. I have been to your little town and like it very much. I live in northern California.
Thanks again, I really enjoyed doing this.

The water has a shiney sheen stillness to it, cleaner than clean

This is so fine! I can appreciate the gentle warmth of northern light in this fishermen village.
About Your request and lovely real WC painting, since I've now a quite dense programme with a couple of on-going WIPs to finish soon and almost no time, I nonetheless would provide You with an idea of hat You may get, even a quite satisfactory simulation.
Use of sheet grain size and degrees of metallic paint get honest results also working on one layer only like here.
Have a look herebelow, pls.
The third image are a couple of real watercolors I did and now I could probably almost emulate decently if I wish.
