I've been messing around with the color sample pod. Just adding many colors for quick switching while I'm painting.
This led me to wondering what other artists use for this.
What colors do you suggest? Anyone have a file for me to import with a good selection of colors? The more colors the better!

Thanks for sharing!

I use the samples panel for few purposes.
1: To keep track of specific colors I'm using (especially when working with stickers, or watercolor, since it's sometimes difficult to pick up the exact color that was used on them, with the color sampler).

2: When attempting to use a limited palette, I'll set my specific colors on the panel, then I'll close out the Color Picker panel.

3: Sometimes I'm trying to keep to a specific style (say Copic Markers). To help push this idea, I'll use samples taken from Copic Markers, and stick to only those colors. This is similar to the limited palette idea, but it's focusing more on the tools color, rather then a set of colors (cool, warm, etc).
You should find a good number of .col file offerings within the Art Supplies (http://www2.ambientdesign.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=20) section of the forums. Here's a link (http://www2.ambientdesign.com/forums/showthread.php?t=26125), that's currently right at the top of the forum, which has a number of samples, offered by Trurl.

Speaking of Copic colors, just in case this get's lost over time. I made a set of the complete color line here.
