D Akey-
in fact it's esquire Phileas Fogg. Order is not completed, and his servant is not drawn

Vladislav...you have such a talent with the drawing and colors and detailed work for this illustrative works. I am wondering what your intended audience is? the images are so strong and of such high quality!.... books? web-art? special clients? or just for your own pleasure?... at any rate I always look with anticipation to see what new creations you have done..:):):)

Here I post all clear universal themes and subjects. I have so far only random orders. And they appear when you paint for fun

Very nice illustration Vladislav. As always full of humour and insight. :)
One thing, which mismatch a bit is the ship. It's basically way too modern for middle 19th century. The ship's propeller was completely unknown in these times. Therefore they had large side wheels mostly combined with traditional sail rigging. They looked more or less like this one (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:USM_steamship_Baltic_(1850).jpg)

Strandy—

The contour of the ship I found in a search engine for pictures of the 19th century is on the River Thames.
Your example—a large vessel.

As usual Your illustrations are absolutely tasty and the choice of the subject and place may please also the steampunk art fan (I'm not among even liking some of that style outcomes).
