A nostalgic beauty Pat. She reminds me of the beautiful porcelain dolls.

A flavour of old tales and novels ...

Charming charming! Love her face and the nostalgic mood.

A caution Pat, is that the dress sort of flattens her out.

Believe me, it's tricky. May want to look at how some people do their folds. Classical painters spent copious amounts of time studying how garments worked with the folds and so on. It's challenging to everybody.

But again, the charm does come across in this one.

Better Pat, don't you think?

I would love to see the source pic you're working from. It's definitely got a vintage feel, and back in the innocent, dreamy days of childhood back then, clothing was not necessarily meant to describe the body very much. So the idea of the form of the legs influencing how the dress folds may not be part of the style of that time.

Victorian times influenced garments. So you are probably being pretty careful to capture it with some authenticity. The garment and her hair look draped and hanging, which is probably what they looked like.

Right now it looks good. I could see her as part of a packaging label on a tin or advertising or even a painting for the wall in a parlor. Like looking at a rosebud. She's adorable. Love her expression that you captured as well. Great mood.

Way to pursue it!
