And.... a very wonderful creation... I'd love to be in that gazebo sipping some iced tea but sadly I'm at work....

Excellent painting Pat. Love this technique of water colors and airspray....

It looks very oriental and I like it also because I'm reading again the book Shogun by Clavell.

Painting can be like a tea ceremony, can it not.

You technique is intriguing, how you are continuing with your watery color with sharper focus paint daubs to bring out more description, and it comes across almost as if the more solid parts bleed into the surrounding shape.

In restaurants, I have opened the tea pot containing Asian tea and sometimes see floating bits of tea (leaves? more like twigs). And the liquid and solid seen through the opening of the pot and in the cup -- the way you're painting reminds me of this relationship of fluid watercolor with some strokes for clarity a little.

The tea ceremony is an expression of perfection and grace. I would not be at all surprised to hear that the path in your painting is where you are taking your painting.
