I spent this morning just sipping coffee and doodling away in my digital sketchbook lol. Promise you won't laugh - I had fun with these little sketches. They aren't supposed to be any good - just relaxing so I can unwind and daydream. Betcha can't guess what I was daydreaming about!

I know these are a bit silly but I wanted to share my morning with my friends here. These doodles are for you, eighty+! :p

Then you screwed up royally, madam, because these are fantastic.

Reminds me of some of the illustrations in the kids book I read back in the 50s. They have a dated quality, but they really describe the animals so well. I'm a big fan of old school illustration in general anyway. But these are great by those standards. You have the shapes, and personality.

I can't think of all the titles, but I had one about a fire engine company and a fire dog that helped out. your dog drawing kinda reminds me of that.

Make Way For Ducklings is a classic from that era. The author/illustrator when out and bought a bunch of ducks and took them to his NY apartment so he could draw them. He filled his bathtub and whatnot. Great story that gets retold about him (which I hope is true). The book is quite real though.

You did a great job on these, doodles and scribbles or not.
