View Full Version : Research Station.

hi there..:), a concept painting largely done in artrage, with very less painter used. a concept for a research base/station and the environment, based at a very cold, snowy location.
im also sharing a reference of the structure that ive looked at while painting, rest has all been self visualized, ive kept it very painterly with thick application for showing heavy snow and have also done some changes in the structure as per my needs.
painted using tablet.
kindly click on the artwork for viewing better quality image.

thanks and cheers.

Great work.

Love the colour-palette, and especially the far-distant background.. nice textures, great painterly feel to it.

Waheed.. great concept and well executed as per usual from your talented hands.... the heavy snow and cool palette are great.. I really like the rooftop bristling with antenna, and radar dishes... it looks like a scientific research station.

Quite a striking painting. You can really sense the cold with the snow piled on the ground and ledges as well as the icicle forming on the overhangs.

Love the colors and values. Those window colors especially make it sing.

May not be what you're job is for, but for me, I can only guess what such a remote group is working on. . . Has a James Bond feel.

Well done Waheed!

The first thing that caught my eye was the perspective and then the splashes of saturated color. Love it.
