Great idea and very well done Sandy.
I think she has just spotted her husband, who is attempting to surprise her, as he comes home on leave from serving in a combat zone while in the miltary.
Fine job! :):):)

The only thing that bothers me is the eyelashes coming from under the lid. And perhaps the softness on the underside of the lid that shows the thickness of the lid. That, in my opinion, should break sharper. It's more "naturally correct" to the real thing, and it also lends variance.

One of the things to bear in mind in designing is variety. Playing thick against thin, light against dark, sharp against soft, those are some of the things you can do when approaching a picture, especially for stylized, designed ones.

Not always for all styles. But it could help something that is so close up especially where the anatomy is brought right into our eye so to speak.

Overall, a fun idea and an opportunity to check some stuff out.

Gary, Scribbledsoul, and Mike, Thanks! D Akey, thanks! Yeah, I really had a time with the lashes. Something to work on definitely. I may take a 'peek' on the internet for a close search of an eye and see what settings would be better to use for them.:)
