Hello all,

Here are two portraits for everyone to view. They were done mainly in pencil with chalk used for the base color of the hair.

I learn new things every time I work on a drawing. This time I learned that default paper grain is a bit much for my taste. On my next round, I'll have to make some changes to the paper.

Very nice careful drawings indeed. I can see you looking at the details of the heads and rendering them out. Glamorous ladies.

Thank you all for the nice comments.

D Akey:
I'm trying to use more shading instead of lines for the details of the face.

The hair turned out better than expected on the second portrait. Hair is still my nemesis. I fight with hair on every portrait I do.

lovely ladies! the hair of the second one looks so real  well done! :) :)

PS. you can change the texture of a single layer by clicking on the layer's bottom right button and select "Edit Layer Texture" so it will be different from the canvas texture you used when creating the new painting.
