Here is Betty Boop's great great granddaughter Bette. She is not as naive as her g-grandmothers, and forget the nice little puppy, it would not fit in with the cycle trips and club performances.:D

Thanks for looking, hope you enjoy.:p

Times change alright. But let us not forget that for her time Betty Boop represented the break out independence of a generation of girls/birds/chicks/flappers that was ever so scandalous. So as they say in the Moulin Rouge, Let's raise a skirt in honor of Betty I.

And her great granddaughter, why I can take on look at her and think: Yup. . . she's a free bird. Moreover, I would Bette there's a bit of the Boop in all women. Love the eye color.

Love the tartoo, yar! . . . But I digresses. . .

Nice job, Alexandra. . . Bette-r and Bette-r.

Haha, I love your comments D Akey, thanks! Yep, you're right, I need to look into the artist and more of what was happening. These were incredible times, and she was and still is such an unusual character too.

Silvy, Gary, and Katie, Thanks so much, so pleased you liked her!

When I took a look at this thread and the picture came up I thought you made a painting of Kat von D (http://images.google.com/images?hl=en&source=hp&q=kat+von+d&aql=&oq=&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=wi&biw=1918&bih=887),it is a look-a-like for sure :)

Jasmine, Thank you very much. I am trying to improve my technique and add pencil to oil for the eyes. So pleased you liked them.

Geoff, I believe you are right!;)

Hans, Thank you! I sure wish I had known about her first! My daughter and husband said that she didn't look right with this hairstyle. I wanted her to have a modern Betty Boop style, and they said she would look much better with longer hair. Thanks for the link, I think I will give this a try too. Being a hairdresser a while back, I cannot resist drawing different looks to my characters.:p:o

Thanks dear Amanda, I appreciate that my friend!

Beautifully done Sandy. Lots of family resemblance, but she seems far more adventurous and exciting.
