thanks everyone for the kind remarks and support of this image. I was pretty happy with the way it turned out... I had been seeing this image in my head for a few days and mentally revising it..this of course is not what I was seeing but it is close..:):):););)

. . . in honesty I had not heard of that word before, so I would have been rubbish trying to find any such porous rock and moreso the water within. . . :o

Cool idea to make use of those very dry geological map designs. Finding water in a dry rock a bit like Moses. . . rather miraculous, really, considering how dry (albeit useful) those schematic graphics are.

If I'm getting it right. . .

This looks like you're playing it pretty close to the source, in that yours still resembles a geological illustration of rock and so on. And it's a cool metaphor for searching the mind for places that will provide nourishment for your artistic expression.

Brilliant concept really. Something I would not have thought of. Well done.

How happy are you with it? Does it feel like you found water or gold?

Thanks scribbledsoul and justjean for your kind words..:):)

D Akey... i think I struck water... definitely took advantage of those old geology books about the structure of the crust and how giant aquifers formed under the plains states and texas... but also a great metaphor for artistic source and inspiration...:)
