Jack, looking at him, one feels how lucky but lonely surrounded by the deep sea he is... hope somebody will be looking for him soon...beautiful water and composition. :)

Jack .. imaginative painting very well done.. kind a a lucky Crusoe figure. the light in the sky and distant shore, tree are exceptional... Guess he is only stranded for a few hours.. hope he brought lunch;);):)

Interesting painting, I guess the only thing missing is a couple of shark fins breaking the surface of the water.

Nice work. I really like the colors you put in the grass and good work on the tree.
I am a little curious about the placement of the tree and island. Did you intentionally use that placement to cut out the left hand side of the picture or did it get cropped when you posted it? What I am saying is the tree acts as a stop along the top, and the left side of the island acts as a stop on the left side of the picture so that whole corner seems to get lost. I was wondering it that was the effect you were going for?

I like your painting for two reasons. Beyond the fact, I love to see oceans, seas etc in pictures, the last good "Cast away" type of painting which I saw, was one from Howard Pyle (19th Century)

This tickles the imagination. How did he get there, why is he there. There's a story waiting to be told with this one. :)
