P.D. Your dog Joe looks like a Jade carving to me. I don't know anything about Jade so I'm just guessing. Very fine design I say!

Well I found this antiquities magazine at my mums. I think I will be painting some more of their ancient egyptian stuff. Though I don't like their obsession with death. They kind of remind me of the health nuts today seeking eternity.

Docsmith, You have a keen eye for egyptian antiquities, which is the basis of my painting. So, it may be an Anubis. They can be confused with the Pharoh Hunting Dog and may be the model for the more symbolic Anibus. The Pharoh Hunting Dog is one of the first breeds, dating back 6,000 years.

JustJean, Yes svelte green, I tried for emerald, gold flaked body with copper patina. I imagine they are a very active dog. My son's runs like the wind bounding forward fully stretched out. It's beautiful.

All my stuff looks so flat, one dimensional. Anybody know where I can get a tutorial on shading?

See you guys.
