View Full Version : Experiment with Blob mixing

I started with a rough painting of Red. Made it look good but only so happy (pic 3).
So what if I superimposed a blob painting (pic 2) over that. Here is the result. I liked how it turned out even though none are that good. It's interesting just the same. The blobs completely changed the last pic. No1. is a merging of 2 and 3. I did the blob on another layer and lowered the opacity to 25%.

Neal I like the portrait. you made a beauty from the blobs. sort of reminds me of an At-ta portrait in the end. a look that I like very much.

Oh, here's where Your experiment with paint tube started defining the new style ... This is a quite interesting path for You to explore. I also had much fun and some interesting outcomes in the past smearing paint from the tubes ...:)

Thanks for all the great comments everyone. I think it would be a nice technique if an impasto texture is needed. It would be interesting to see if texture could be built up thickly this way.
