Shrimp and other Sea Creatures

Just having fun doing this and when I was done it looked like shrimp thus the title, which immediately made me hungry for a shrimp coctail....the hazards of doing art...:D:D:D hope you enjoy and get a chuckle out of this..

PD - the style is really lifted from the shoulders of giants Asger Jorn the danish painter and Alan Davie both whose work I find liberating and amazing. It is from them I find the colors and style as a basis. But digital media provides its own metaphors also with layers, drop shadows, blending modes and the other countless tools in AR and Photoshop, and Painter.:):):D

Suha - I must confess that I rarely work on a piece for more than 1 hour and usually less that that. Unlike your great portrait that took you days to complete. I am not that disicplined or patient. The color and textures seem to come quickly ( of course I have be fooling around with painting for 55 years, and digital work for about 12 )... ;);)

lots of cool things to look at and great techniques here. love that upper left that takes on a sort of Klimpt like quality and also the many textures and surfaces. the shiny plasticine purple tail... awesome. some really sweet usage of the ink pen as well. fun piece.
