Eddie, outstanding as usual. And you seem on a roll - suddenly turning out a lot of work. This little guy is really quite great. He's much more interesting in your rendering than the reference. He's transformed through your visioning and skill. :):)

Very cute! I love robins. If I'm not mistaken, this is an english robin. American robins are bigger. :)

Sketch, you have painted my favored bird..love his singing...The work here is the masterpiece, wonderful tribute to the beauty of the nature and you are a master of chalks as i see it here. Go on, bring more, please!:)

I BIG thank you to all of you for your very kind, inspiring, and encouraging words on this. Birds are always fun to paint because of the interesting colors they can have.

@Byron - I have been doing a lot of painting lately because I'm afraid my available time is about to end soon. My boys are starting baseball (today actually is the first day of practice) and coaching tends to occupy a lot of my time. On top of that they are starting hockey in April (their idea not mine!) I hope to find a way to be able to work it in through the season because it helps keep me on the level!

Thanks again for the wonderful comments!

He's real enough, this lad, such that we could meet down the pub. We'll be drinkin' Tequila seein' as it's the only one with a deliberate worm in it and I can surmise this one's leanin's. He's cheep.

Great palette. Superb job, Sketch.

This is a wonderful piece :) I think you've made great use of the reference photo; taking what you need, but giving your bird his own personality instead of copying.

Gorgeous! I have a big fat American Robin that keeps attacking its own reflection in one of my windows. I don't know if its trying to fight it or mate with it! :D
