Here is another addition to my musician series. Hope you find it of interest.

Luis Eduardo Aute (pronounced OWtay), one of my favorite Spanish artists, is a true renaissance man: singer/songwriter, artist, filmmaker, and author. Over the last 42 years he´s released 32 albums while continuing his painting.

Below are a few links if you´re interested in his music:

Al Alba (written from the point of view of a political prisoner awaiting his execution)

Great image Scott. I would love to see the frets, but understand if you worked on it enough already. Great music! One of the most amazing voices I have ever heard. Thanks for sharing. So you pour some wine, put on some Aute turn down the lights a bit... and the girl is like chocolate melting in your hands. Do I have that about right?

I also liked this one a lot:

Thanks pat, nika and gz for taking a look!

gz: I almost put that entry on the list but didn´t want to overdo it. Also, you´re right about Aute being a great choice with the ladies.

Nice painting, Scott!

Spending one's life dedicated to the Arts is commendable if you can manage it and are thus driven. One's quality has a great chance of soaring through regularly doing it.

Your painting is really quite good (not sure how close it is, not having seen the photo you worked from. But your use of colors draws the eye around the picture making everything play.

No idea what he's singing, but it sounds poetic and feeling. Takes on a bit of an purely tonal quality to me because of having only the sound of the music to go with.

Nice one. :):):)

A great painting, you have a good taste for music, and he's a very good singer / songwriter and recognized here in Spain.

Thanks so very much D Akey, javier, and mannafig! I truly appreciate your comments!

D Akey: the lyrics are spectacular, but they don´t bear translation very well. In English, they tend to sound a bit corny, while in Spanish they just shine.
