this was made to be a work in progress. I have all the steps just too tired to put in the work in progress section right now. I used water color and felt pen.

Of all the car paintings on here yours is the best! There have been many good ones posted too. I also love the perspective of it as shown from the rear quarter. Not the usual view! Excellent!!!

I tried to define which vintage Ferrari model was this (looking at the wheel yellow and black little shield). There's one type in particular that looks much like it, but is not fully alike ... Anyway I share all the most positive comments you received this far for such a magnificent and "aggressive" interpretation of a sport car!

I believe this is a 1957 Ferrari Testerossa 250. Thanks Caesar. :)

02-01-2011, 09:47 PM
Yes, exactly the one I was thinking to, dear Albert!
For anyone curious about the name, literally TestaRossa=RedHead.:p
A name also repeated by Ferrari later on ...
As fun as it may sound, also considering this name, most people in China, where Ferrari is becoming very successful and much sols in these days, don't know Ferrari is an Italian car, they rather think it's a German one ...:D:D:D

Hey - I think the reflected overhang on the right side is distracting! (Joke) I really like this. (I'm such a vintage car geek, among other things)

Beautiful, I hope you'll do more. The racing cars of those times were much more attractive, without all the wings and advertisements. The TR250 was one of the sweetest looking and you've done it justice.

That's pretty cool as a painting as well as the car itself is. Great work on the car's metallic look. Especially on the back of the car. Very well done mate !! :)

Well done! A red Ferrari--doesn't get better than that!:D

02-05-2011, 11:54 AM
well it might be someone riding in the Ferrari with you. :) driving it on winding roads in the French countryside with a bottle of wine and lunch in a picnic basket. I would have said Tuscany, but too much dust in the hair. :)
Thanks for comment!
