Oh my this is wonderful Albert. I love watercolors and you've proven yourself to be a master.

Thanks Sandy, I feel like I am making progress. I have had that illusion before though. :) but I think I am finally learning to use a variety of tools to get desired effects. I did study watercolor at one time. Maybe it is finally starting to kick in after all these years. :) I sure hope so. It would be nice.

Actually after my time. . . Cocteau Twins.

I vaguely recall the name but don't know them really. Sounds to me kinda like ABBA in a tonal wash of sound, lyrics secondary sort of way. Could see it being played in a dance club, as a counterpoint to the usual beat heavy music. Production heavy, at least in this one music video I watched.

Interesting sidebar, she herself was used on the soundtrack on Lord of the Rings Two Towers.

Ain't the internet great.

Your painting looks really good, GZ. You added much painter's hand to the photo which enhances a rather plain photo.

Oh, and shaddup. we don't all get old. Some just don't color their hair, those what's got it. Hahah.

I watched some of her (Their) music on YouTube. I see why you find her intriguing. Lovely melodies & vocals.

Thanks DA and Skylar for stopping by. :) DA I think it's not the gray hair so much as that look of regret. For some reason in many of her pictures she is staring downward with that trademark look of where did the time go? I'd only be guessing that since they were an eighties band, there may have been appetizers. It could be a case of where did the mind go?

I really kind of bypassed the Cocteau twins also until recently took another look at them when someone on this forum named Icepulse reminded me of them. I was never really a fan in the eighties. I thought Peter would know them or Speggie for sure if he was around.
She does have an interesting singing voice though.

Thanks Eighty. I wanted it to turn out more like a Wyeth egg tempera. That was what the photo looked like to me. Didn't quite pull it off. :)
Thanks Kenmo. Much appreciated.
