Here are a couple doodles I made on the iPad of my pet schnauzer. I'm no artist, but I thought I'd share. You guys are pretty awesome. I'm amazed by how much detail some of you are able to work into your pieces.

Hi xbLee I would suggest you get a drawing tablet sharply as your drawing's

Have Woken me up in the middle of the night you talk of detail. But that is nothing to the feeling you have shown in your line drawing a lot of
Artist would give their eye teeth for so keep on drawing animals and people
And don't worry about detail as you are showing a natural ability of feeling
Ok good luck waiting to see more . No I can get back to sleep

Regards. E+ :;);););););). ----E/S

Thank you all for your kindness. I've really been enjoying this software on the iPad. It's really fun and relaxing. I look forward to sitting in my lazy chair in the evening for an hour or so of messing with the tools. Special thanks to eighty for the encouraging words. Much appreciated. Here are a couple more doodles. I tried to do praying hands for a friend but... hands are hard.

These (at least this first two) put me very much in mind of David Hockney when he used to draw and paint his dogs. Deceptively simple, but eye catching and arresting at the same time.

that last schnauzer just wasn't sitting right with me. I revised it some and now feel better about it.

Thank you HarlequiNQB. I do hope you like David Hockney. I'm afraid I'm not familiar with him. Guess I've got some googling to do :)

I do, or rather I did; his recent work I feel is decidedly uninspired. He's best known for his paintings of young men and swimming pools, as a google search will no doubt reveal, but as I say he did do a series of drawings and paintings based on his dogs at one point.

Really nice! You capture so much expression with simple lines. Love the painted dog too.

Thank you for the comments. I appreciate the feedback. I keep thinking that my drawings are severly lacking. I feel like you need some sort of formal training to be proficient, especially after enjoying so many of the other works shown on this site. I don't intend to come up with such simple line drawings, but it seems like the more I add, the more it takes away... Probably because the more I do, the more mistakes I have to incorporate :)
