In all this damn sand! Just having a little after-Christmas fun. I did lose my marbles before Christmas, however. Oil, and lots of AB & knife work. One layer, no effects.

Umm lost your marbles? I think you are doing just fine as this painting shows! All that sand makes it warm I am sure.:D

A bit too soggy to walk on our beaches, so thank you for this nice warm, dry image!

Very beautiful. I particularly like the shadows.

Beautifully rendered beachscape, Skylar! And the addition of the large marble is perfect.

Null - Thanks! Yeah, I have a somewhat hokey, cutesy factor that crops up now & then.
Jas - Thank you. It's nice to turn awayfrom snow, and toward sand.
Scratch - Thanks! Realism is important when portraying certain subjectmatter.
MacPix - My Pleasure!
Sandy - Yeah, and I don't find 'em until way into the new year, either!
Caesar - Thanks so much. I pay great attention to shadows. They "ground" everything.
Scott- Thanks! That Marble is the essence of the piece.

L Skylar Brown,
Someone once gave me a beautiful blue marble then the little brat
took it back but I am happy to see that you have again found yours.
A lovely yet contemplative and touching piece ... impressive art work
by the way! :)

Mairz - Thanks so much for your comments. It's funny, the older I get, the more images from my childhood seem to pop up. Hope it isn't anything serious! Of course, if I did go senile, I doubt if anyone could tell the difference!

beautiful piece Skylar, with a touch of the surreal thrown in for good measure... always nice. :) glad we made it through the holidays.
