My first painting with artrage I feel confident enough about, to post here..
The no blending tool thing actually helped me out here; the tree and grass would have been a lot smudgier, were I able to blend .. Instead, I used all these little strokes, which actually work better I think =D

The contrast was adjusted a little bit and the black frame was added in photoshop, other than that, it's all artrage.

Very cool, azathothgr. The tree is very richly textured. The the lighting of the scene is great. And I like the girl with the balloon!

That balloon looks like it may have attempted to float away if the little girl hadn't caught it. I really enjoy this painting.

Its actually the first time I'm happy with the lighting.. Usually I can't seem to manage to do it right

I agree with Fasmir adn agedP...magical....simple strokes....making a very endearing pic.........the little girl with the balloon i think is talking to the tree?!! :) , well done

Gorgeous, dramatic lighting. The tree is very pretty, but I'm very glad you decided to add the little girl and the balloon. They really make this image for me! I also love the silhouette of foliage in the foreground. Thanks for sharing!

oh, I've been looking for this one ever since I saw it in the features!
the lighting on the tree and ground is gorgeous, and I love the little girl too :D
easthetically simple in design, yet lush and beautiful to look at!
